The 2021–2022 School Year Calendar has been released by the NYC Dept. of Education. Whether your family is planning a vacation, holiday gathering or you’re just curious about when your kids are off of school, now you can see what’s in store for the upcoming school year.
Below is the 2021–22 school year calendar for all K–12 NYCDOE public schools. If your child attends a private, parochial, or charter school, contact your child’s school for information about their calendar as it will likely be different from below. Changes to the calendar may be announced by the Dept. of Education at anytime. We will update the calendar below to reflect the changes. Note the following:
- November 2, Election Day, will be a fully remote, asynchronous instructional day for all students.
- On “Snow days” or days when school buildings are closed due to an emergency, all students and families should plan on participating in remote learning.
