2024-2025 New York City School Calendar (and the 2025-2026)
It’s hard to believe the 2023-2024 school year is almost over, and summer break is near. While we still have a few weeks (eek!) to go on this school year, many of us are starting to take a glance at what the school calendar for 2024-2025 will look like.
As many parents know, the calendar is essential for families as it helps to plan school breaks, early dismissals, trips to see the grandparents, after-school care, and sports, as well as figuring out when we need to take off work for school conferences and more.
And Dear DOE, it helps to have this calendar, thank you.
And there is more. The Department of Education also released the 2025-2026 calendar. Okay, yes, we need to finish up this school year, but remember that post-pandemic, we were all frantically waiting for the calendar. Having 2025-2026 ahead of time is super helpful and appreciated.
