The campus has made lots of accessibility improvements to entrances and paths. Visitors in wheelchairs can enter all areas of Snug Harbor’s campus, but should call Snug Harbor Rangers (718-816-9691) if they need assistance accessing gardens or facilities. The site also offers a variety of learning opportunities for visitors of all ages and abilities, and programs can be adapted for groups with special needs.
Staten Island Children’s Museum

Located on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, the museum offers an accessibility guide created specifically for children with sensory issues so they can get familiar with the museum’s exhibits, sounds and quiet areas. Most components of all exhibitions are wheelchair accessible.

Though many of the site’s buildings have wheelchair-accessible entrances, wheelchair access to many of the historic structures on site varies. Reasonable accommodations can still be met, and wheelchairs can be requested. There’s also a private lactation and quiet space room located in the Third County Courthouse. The space offers privacy, comfort and seating for nursing parents, their babies and anyone with multi diverse needs. Accessibility discounts are available.
