Choo choo, everyone get on board! Greenberg’s Great Train and Toy Show is coming to nearby New Jersey this month and will offer lots of train and railway fun for families and kids of all ages.
The show pulls into the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, NJ, on March 11 and 12. It’s designed for the general public, hobbyists, families and anyone who loves trains. The fun weekend will feature hundreds of tables of trains and accessories for sale, huge operating exhibits, activities for kids and more.
Tickets are $10-12 and available for purchase online or in person. Online tickets are slightly cheaper.
What to Expect at Greenberg’s Great Train and Toy Show
All aboard for lots of train fun! The show will feature lots of family fun for train fans of all ages, including:
- More than 500 tables of trains for sale
- More than 140 exhibitors from around the country
- Impressive—and operating—model train displays that kids will love
- Free workshops and demonstrations
There will also be a free test track, where you can test run your trains at the show.

Where is the show located?
The show is at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center, located at 97 Sunfield Ave., Edison, NJ. (Approximately 20 minutes from Staten Island.)
When is the show?
Mark your calendar! The show is coming up soon: Saturday and Sunday, March 11 and 12, from 10am to 4pm both days.
How much are tickets to the show?
Onsite admission is cash only: $12, Saturday; $11, Sunday. Online tickets: $11, Saturday; $10, Sunday. The event is free for kids ages 11 and younger with an adult—no ticket required. Saturday tickets are good for both days.
Is parking available at the expo center?
Yes. Free parking is available at the show in both the main lot and auxiliary lot. Street parking is also available.
Have a kiddo who can’t get enough of trains? Head to the Liberty Science Center’s new Thomas the Tank exhibit, which features Thomas the Tanks and his friends from the popular TV series.
