Six Flags Fright Fest 2024
Get ready to be spooked! Every year, Six Flags theme parks in the United States throw the most anticipated Halloween-inspired event, Fright Fest. Thrill seekers can immerse themselves in all kinds of spooks including haunted attractions, themed areas called Scare Zones, and live entertainment. Six Flags Great Adventure is about a one-hour car ride from Staten Island. This year Fright Fest will run from September 28th through October 27th and serves as the perfect night for all thrill-seeking families.

What to Expect
Fright Fest is full of thrilling and spooky attractions at every corner. Families attend fright fest annually for the yearly dose of Halloween fun and rides. This year you can expect some extreme thrills within the amusement park including haunted houses, rides in the dark, and of course the famous scare zones.
Scare Zones
The famous scare zones at Six Flags Fright Fest are themed sections of the park where actors in costumes give guests a good scare. The following list depicts this year’s famous scare zones:

- Dead in the West: The wild, wild west is arriving back from the dead. Are you brave enough to face the nightmares? Located in Ghost Town.
- Dark Oaks Cemetery: The dead have risen and are roaming among the graves in search of the only thing they desire- the flesh of the living.
- Infested: Mutant humanoid spiders and infected exterminators are hunting each other in the darkness. Can you survive or will you too become, infected?
Events & Shows

- The Awakening: The nightly call has been made and the monsters have been released. Run for your lives!
- The Dead Disco: Gather around as a crowd of creepy monsters rise from the dead and converge into a flash mob.
- Caged: Step into the laboratory of a Mad Scientist and his Assistant, where you’ll witness their electrifying dance show as they bring dangerous, caged monsters to life. Crow: A man enjoys a peaceful sandwich in the park, only to befriend a crow…the crow’s unsettling madness and twisted mind result in a chilling encounter.
Haunted Houses
To experience the haunted houses, you’ll need a Haunted Attraction Pass. Alternatively, you can opt for a bundled ticket that includes both admission and access to the haunted house. The various haunted houses offered this year are, “CarnEvil”, “Nightmare at Crack Axle Canyon”, “Skull Manor”, and “Hell Block VI”. Seeking a Less Scary Experience?
Fright Fest is a spooktacular event for the whole family to engage in, but parents may want to use their judgment when bringing younger kids and toddlers. If you’re looking for a less intense experience, Boo Fest could be perfect for your family. Boo Fest is catered toward younger kids wanting to partake in Fright Fest with a bit less of the fright! The kid-friendly event will run from September 14th through November 3rd. Some highlights you can expect from Boo Fest include, family-friendly rides, daytime performances, and a special Trick or Treat Trail. There are several different packages for Fright Fest. A regular daily ticket starts at $29 on their website. Children 2 and under are free. For Fright Fest you can purchase various bundles depending on what attractions you want to partake in. Check their website for all specific pricing and deals!
