Art Lab is the school of Fine & Applied Arts located on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center. Art Lab’s mission is to be the best possible school of fine and applied arts on Staten Island.  In reaching that goal, we have art classes, camp, and host art exhibits.

Our faculty consists of professional teaching artists and class sizes are small to enable individual attention for students.   We have children’s programs throughout the year, for ages 3 +. Most classes are divided into the following age categories: pre-k(3-5), children (6-8) , young artists (9-12), teens,  and adults.  Programming is year-round in four semesters: Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring.  We have after school and weekend classes during fall, winter, and spring, and mini camps during spring and winter breaks. Our Camp Kandinsky and Camp Picasso are very popular all summer long.  Classes include Pre-K, Children’s Art, Young People’s Art, Comic Book, Anime, Manga, Ceramic Sculpture, and more.
