A Small Scoop of Carvel’s Big History
Carvel’s original soft serve ice cream was created in New York after Tom Carvel’s ice cream truck broke down in the summer heat.
The company was founded by Carvel, who began selling ice cream from his vending truck in 1929. Today, there are so many ice cream treats to choose from at this very popular shop with locations found throughout Staten Island and other places.
In addition to soft serve ice cream, other treats include scooped flavors, shakes, Sundae Dashers and more. And don’t forget about the chain’s popular ice cream cakes, including Cookie Puss, Cookie O’Puss and a variety of holiday cakes!
